Many years ago I read this book when I was searching for MEANING on the planet.  Victor Frankl talks about “logo-therapy,” and describes how SOME Jews during the Holocaust managed to make sense of it all, with horrible suffering, dehumanizing, starvation, etc., and with gas chambers in their immediate future.  His book made the think about CREATING MEANING, that is, making sense of it all, whatever it is.  Thus, I also went to Sitchin’s research to make BETTER meaning/sense of the creation of planet Earth and the creation of Man, that is the predominant Evolutionist (Science) vs. Creationist (faith) explanations.  Finding a THIRD explanation –Sitchin’s NEW PARADIGM – while also respecting the other two paradigms was a time of great joy and peace for me.  May your journey find just what you may need: more MEANING. And that’s what this website is all about.

Sitchin says the Anunnaki “gods” will return during the age of Pisces (498 AD to 2654 AD).  Assuming (BIGGIE) they were here about the time of Jesus, the MATH is this:

3600 year orbit, that is 1800 each way (apogee to perigee). However, from the apogee Nibiru has ALREADY returned about 210 years (2019 minus 1800), thus leaving about 610 more years to the HALF WAY  point back, at which time (IF such is the case), the SPACESHIP could leave the Nibiru in order to ORBIT Earth,and from THERE, send their  SHUTTLECRAFTS to land on Tierra firma.

However we do not know FOR SURE when they can use their spacecraft to leave Nibiru to arrive back here??? and to catch it on the way back to outer space??

ADDITIONALLY, I still don’t how long it would take a spaceship, leaving approaching Nibiru, to reach the orbiting space, where then the shuttlecraft could leave from there to land (how much time?) on Tierra Firma?

Sitchin’s research about Nibiru raised many problems.  For example, how could this gigantic planet travel through space and stay heated?  Sitchin claimed that its heat was generated by its inner dynamo, and yet needed gold particles seeded in its atmosphere to create a “greenhouse” effect, thus keeping the warmth within. Thus, the need for gold from Earth which they found/mined and sent back to Nibiru.

“InSight also found that its mantle as a whole is about half as thick as Earth’s — a lack of insulation that would have exacerbated Mars’s heat loss as it erupted heavily in its youth. (Mars’s small size also allowed plenty of its primordial heat to radiate into space.)

This thin mantle may also partly explain why Mars lost its protective magnetic field in the first 700 million years of its history. Earth’s magnetic field is powered by the circulation of iron-nickel currents within its liquid outer core. Presumably, Mars had a similar circulation, but the speedy cooling of its innards caused those currents to seize up, shutting off its magnetic dynamo.

Without a magnetic bubble to shield Mars from the sun’s radiation, its atmosphere was blown away like confetti. Water that once frequented its surface — if it was not soaked up by the rocks below — escaped into space, turning it into a frigid, irradiated desert.”

Controversy at Hueyatlaco: When Did Humans First Inhabit the Americas?

The excavations at Hueyatlaco unearthed stone tools, some of which were very crude and primitive implements, but others that were far more sophisticated. ( Ancient Origins )

A Tearing of the Scientific Community

Irwin-Williams never went forward to solidify her claims. In fact, she never published a report on the site whatsoever, which led to questions on the honesty of her claims. On the other hand, the other part of the team firmly believed in their 200,000 year theory, and were not willing to drop it. In 1981, this faction made up of Malde, Fryxell, and Steen-McIntyre published an extensive scientific paper in the  Journal of Quaternary Research , providing a detailed insight and evidence for the extremely old dating of human habitation at the site.

In their paper, they provided the results from four different dating tests: the fission track, the uranium-thorium test, the study of mineral weathering to determine age, and the tephra hydration tests. All of these tests confirmed the age of the remains to be roughly 250,000 years old which confirmed their theories. To that end, the authors wrote in their paper:

“The evidence outlined here consistently indicates that the Hueyatlaco site is about 250,000 years old. We who have worked on geological aspects of the Valsequillo area are painfully aware that so great an age poses an archaeological dilemma […] In our view, the results reported here widen the window of time in which serious investigation of the age of Man in the New World would be warranted. We continue to cast a critical eye on all the data, including our own.”

This was an educated, accurate response that acknowledged that such a radical claim  did seem odd, but was not entirely impossible. The story of Hueyatlaco continued to look like a deliberate attempt to discredit these finds or hide them under the carpet. The evidence was there: early humans could have inhabited the so-called New World, the Americas, far earlier than was commonly believed.

But seemingly, someone did not want that truth to be accepted. To that end, Irwin-Williams, who was at odds with the rest of the team, raised objections to several aspects of the published paper, seemingly continuing her attacks on the finds. The team were confident and quickly refuted her attempts to discredit their work.

Controversial Results at Hueyatlaco Silenced from the Shadows

Further secrets were soon revealed. Virginia Steen-McIntyre was at one point fired from her job due to her claims, and she also revealed that some of the original team members were harassed, their careers were threatened, and they were proclaimed incompetent – all because of their involvement in the project. So, we need to wonder, why did these findings cause so much enmity from mainstream science? Sure, to some, the claims of such an old age might seem radical and hard to believe. But rather than simply disagreeing with the claims, mainstream scholars went to great lengths to attack, harass, and fully discredit the professional work the team has conducted.

Nevertheless, as time progressed, new tests were conducted, providing new evidence and deepening the controversy related to the site. In 2004, for example, researcher Sam Van Landingham conducted extensive bio-stratigraphic analysis, confirming that the strata that bore the discovered tools was some 250,000 years old. He re-confirmed these finds once again in 2006. He states in his papers that the samples can be dated to the so-called  Sangamonian stage  (from 80,000 to 220,000 years before present) due to the presence of several diatom species only appearing in that age. More findings appeared in 2008, when paleomagnetic testing was conducted on the volcanic ash layers from the site, dating them to roughly 780,000 years before present.

Hueyatlaco remains a true scientific anomaly. It is not at all impossible that early man could have crossed over to the Americas much, much earlier than is currently believed. In fact, there already is the conundrum of the  Solutrean theory , which tells us that the  Clovis people , the proposed ancestors of the Native Americans, were  not the first inhabitants of the Americas. Besides these, there are numerous pieces of evidence across the continent that tell us that it is nigh time that we reconsider the history of human habitation in the Americas.

But new findings have expanded this timeline. Re-dating of old discoveries and more refined dating of new ones have pushed the starting date of the Old Copper Culture back much farther, to the year 7,500 BC. The use of copper tools among Native Americans who built this culture peaked between 5,000 BC and 3,000 BC, before declining precipitously after that.

Erich von Daniken attempts to ferret out conclusions, interpretations, and truths that contemporary archeologists have missed or discounted. After closely analyzing hundreds of ancient and apparently unrelated texts, he proclaims that human history is nothing like that which world religions claim. The essential objective of von Daniken’s work is the reinterpretation of all religious theology, texts and scriptures from the standpoint of messages presumably delivered to humanity by extraterrestrials.

Among the problems Daniken contends with is the propensity of ancient (and even modern humans) to venerate the messenger and misread the written message (often clouded by imprecision, strangeness, ambiguous cryptography, archaic iconography). Daniken and fellow researchers must also contend with derivative texts, hidden meanings, or dogma-driven modifications that bungle the original message.

In History Is Wrong, von Daniken examines the cryptic Voynich manuscript and the equally inscrutable Book of Enoch. Von Daniken describes a subterranean labyrinth in Ecuador that is said to contain an extensive library of thousands of gold panels. He contends that this metal library has links not only to the Book of Enoch but also to the Book of Mormon. In addition to textual messages, totems, drawings, wall paintings, and carven artifacts, von Daniken contends that the mysterious lines in the desert of Nazca, which can only be appreciated by aircraft flyover, may also communicate messages if properly interpreted. He disagrees with archeologists who claim that these lines are merely ancient procession routes.

Von Daniken points out that, “Archeologists live from debris. . . . On the basis of a few tiny fragments, they make their conclusions and apply them to the entire broad plateaus of Nazca and Palpa. Any further questions are unnecessary and unwanted; doubts are ridiculed. Students have no chance against the monolithic immutability of professorial wisdom. Half-knowledge is promoted to the definitive established wisdom that the next generation of students has to swallow. And, before you know it, all of the opinions follow the same pattern, from scientist to journalist.” He laments that this process shuts the door on potentially more accurate and perhaps more revealing assessments of ancient history, testimony, and texts. Tantalizing findings, knowledge, and accompanying questions may remain unanswered or misinterpreted.

Since the advent of von Daniken’s Chariots of the Gods and his hypothesis that the technologies and religions of many ancient civilizations were given to them by ancient astronauts who were welcomed as gods, the idea of extraterrestrial visitors has gained considerable acceptance. Today, credibility is given to UFO citings and reports with the presumption that ancients also almost certainly saw and experienced similar visitations. This underlies von Daniken’s contention that UFO phenomena are not just disconnected events but have global spiritual and religious implications. Centuries-old documents in Sanskrit imply that extraterrestrials visited India as far back as 4000 B.C. There is much fascinating information about flying machines, even fantastic science fiction weapons, to be found in translations of the Vedas, Indian epics, other ancient Sanskrit texts, and annals of the Chinese Shang Dynasty .

The point that needs to be made with respect to these annals is that they are writings, scriptures, anecdotal accounts that may be based on legends, dreams, hallucinations or on purposeful manipulations devised to serve specific doctrine, religious objectives, and population management. Such manipulations are historically common in the establishment of religious and social institutions. Outside of writings, imaginative illustrations, carved images, and artistic artifacts, there are no known pieces of ancient UFOs or other flying hardware.

Emperor Cheng Tang of the Shang Dynasty, ordered a flying chariot to be built. After it was tested and flown, fearing that the secret of a flying mechanism machine he had built might fall into enemy hands, he had it destroyed by imperial edict. One is amazed at the wealth of detail in the ancient tales and documentation, and is lead to wonder what stimulated them – fantasy of the authors or memories of actual happenings. Allowing that ancient aircraft were actually built and flown, one needs to ask about the source of blueprints, propulsion modes, and flight instructions. Von Daniken’s answer would be that the science and technology were supplied by extraterrestrial visitors. It does not necessarily follow that the visitors physically traveled to Earth across interstellar or galactic distances to deliver instructions and messages.

In My Universe – A Transcendent Reality author Alex Vary describes how communication with extraterrestrials may be done through a sharing of consciousness with extraterrestrial beings. This is based on the transcendent nature of human consciousness; a faculty that some individuals possess to a greater degree than others. Those possessing the faculty to a very high degree are recognized as geniuses, innovators, great leaders, and often as prophets. Through this shared transcendent consciousness we are, to various degrees, extraterrestrials.

Vary’s concept helps remove the mystery of how messages may have been (or are being) delivered to humanity perhaps by extraterrestrials enjoying life on planets with advanced technologies and social structures. Von Daniken’s Chariots are not of gods but simply manifestations derived from a shared consciousness. Von Daniken’s History is his attempt to unravel the messages that shared transcendent consciousness has deposited in the diverse forms of documentation that we find around the world.

KEN’s COMMENTS;  I had never before heard of the Voynich manuscripts and found the information about it quite intriguing, even if somewhat hard to believe.

Having read some literature about Enoch (The Keys of Enoch), I was familiar with much about Enoch, of Old Testament fame.

Now I began to see more CONNECTIONS between Sitchin and von Daniken, especially regarding “the watchers.”  My guess is that the “watchers” were some of the Anunnaki circling earth in their space stations while planet Nibiru was “passing” by in its 3600 orbit around earth, where  other Anunnaki were mining gold in South Africa and South America.

   Likewise I had never really read or studied The Book of Mormon, probably because of my prejudice, but, once again, more CONNECTIONS with Sitchin were found, especially HOW Joseph Smith found and interpreted the metal plates, with the help of the angelic Moroni.

Also, the section on the Nazca Lines in Peru contained more updated material.

 Many of the negative reviews complained about his lengthy “debunking the debunkers” but I personally was amazed at the lengths that Erich went through to attempt to bring more light about extraterrestrials.

ERICH.  I HAVE READ AND STUDIED SITCHIN’S 13 books and am personally convinced that he has IDENTIFIED

Fall of the First Cities

Dear Ph.D.,

Since the lockdown, there’s been a resurgence of 2012 doomsday predictions on the Internet, claiming that if the Julian calendar were still in use (it was replaced by our Gregorian calendar in 1587), we would find ourselves today in the year 2012. The suggestion is that the Maya doomsday prediction is occurring as we speak.

While it’s true that that the Julian calendar would place us today in 2012, the Maya didn’t care about the number 2012. The date referred to the end of one 144,000-day cycle called a “B’ak’tun” and the beginning of the next one.

The Maya Long Count calendar, which set the start date at August 11, 3114 BC was painstakingly correlated to the Gregorian calendar by archaeologists and epigraphers over the greater part of the 20th century.

Thus, December 21, 2012 corresponds to the end of the current World Age and the beginning of the next World Age, as described in the ancient Maya creation myth, the Popol Vuh (“Council Book” or “Book of the Community”), which was translated directly from K’iche’ Maya to English for the first time in 1986 by Dennis Tedlock.

The Popol Vuh is shockingly reminiscent of myths found all over the world, of gods who angrily destroy their creation, such as an account in Plato’s Critias, of the Athenian statesman, Solon who visits Egyptian priests and recites to them the Greek legend about the deluge caused by Zeus as a punishment for the practice of human sacrifice and cannibalism among the Pelasgians (pre-Hellenic, antediluvian inhabitants of Greece).

According to this legend, there’d been two survivors of the flood, Deucalion and his wife, Pyrrha, who had followed the instructions of Deucalion’s father to build an ark. Deucalion’s story is strikingly similar that of the Biblical Noah and of the Sumerian Utnapishtim in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

In Plato’s Critias, the Egyptian priest, Sonchis responds drily to Solon’s recitation, telling him that Greek knowledge of history was pathetically limited; that there have been more than just one Deluge, and that, “There have been, and will be again, many destructions of mankind,” an idea that is explicit in both the Popol Vuh and in Hindu cosmology.

For nearly 5,000 years, the sands of the Iraqi desert have held the remains of the oldest known civilization: the Sumerians. When American archaeologists discovered a collection of cuneiform tablets in Iraq in the late 19th century, they were confronted with a language and a people who were at the time only scarcely known to even the most knowledgeable scholars of ancient Mesopotamia. The exploits and achievements of other Mesopotamian peoples, such as the Assyrians and Babylonians, were already known to a large segment of the population through the Old Testament and the nascent field of Near Eastern studies had unraveled the enigma of the Akkadian language that was widely used throughout the region in ancient times, but the discovery of the Sumerian tablets brought to light the existence of the Sumerian culture, which was the oldest of all the Mesopotamian cultures. The Sumerians are credited with being the first people to invent writing, libraries, cities, and schools in Mesopotamia (Ziskind 1972, 34), and many would argue that they were the first people to create and do those things anywhere in world. No site better represents the importance of the Sumerians than the city of Uruk. Between the fourth and the third millennium BCE, Uruk was one of several city-states in the land of Sumer, located in the southern end of the Fertile Crescent, between the two great rivers of the Tigris and the Euphrates. Discovered in the late 19th century by the British archaeologist William Loftus, it is this site that has revealed much of what is now known of the Sumerian, Akkadian, and Neo-Sumerian people. Although Uruk was not the only city that the Sumerians built during the Uruk period, it was by far the greatest and also the source of most of the archeological and written evidence concerning early Sumerian culture (Kuhrt 2010, 1:23). Uruk went from being the world’s first major city to the most important political and cultural center in the ancient Near East in relatively quick fashion. Long before Alexandria was a city and even before Memphis and Babylon had attained greatness, the ancient Mesopotamian city of Ur stood foremost among ancient Near Eastern cities. Today, the greatness and cultural influence of Ur has been largely forgotten by most people, partially because its monuments have not stood the test of time the way other ancient culture’s monuments have. For instance, the monuments of Egypt were made of stone while those of Ur and most other Mesopotamian cities were made of mud brick and as will be discussed in this report, mud-brick may be an easier material to work with than stone but it also decays much quicker. The same is true to a certain extent for the written documents that were produced at Ur. At its height Ur was the center of a great dynasty that controlled most of Mesopotamia directly through a well maintained army and bureaucracy and the areas that were not under its direct control were influenced by Ur’s diplomats and religious ideas. Ur was also a truly resilient city because it survived the downfall of the Sumerians, outright destruction at the hands of the Elamites, and later occupations by numerous other peoples, which included Saddam Hussein more recently.

KRAMER:

_The Sumerians_ by Samuel Noah Kramer is a very readable overview of the ancient Sumerians, those ancient, non-Semitic peoples who produced the world’s “first high civilization” and were the world’s first urban culture. This ancient culture spanned the fifth to the second millennium BC though its scientific and literary achievements would have lasting influence throughout the ancient world and down through today.

The first chapter reviewed the history of the modern study of the Sumerians. As late as the 19th century the Sumerian culture was completely unknown. When scholars and archaeologists began excavating in Mesopotamia they were looking for Assyrians, not Sumerians. The Assyrians were discussed in Greek and Hebrew sources, but of the Sumerians, there was “no recognizable trace of the land, or its people and language, in the entire available Biblical, classical, and postclassical literature” (though some experts now think that Sumer is mentioned in the Bible with a variant name). Sumer had “been erased from the mind and memory of man for more than two thousand years.”

This chapter revealed the history of the decipherment of Sumerian writing (the name cuneiform dates from 1700 when Thomas Hyde coined the word to described Old Persian writing that he believed was decoration, not actual speech) and the naming of these people (Sumerian was proposed as a term in 1869 by Jules Oppert, who used the name from the title “King of Sumer and Akkad” found in some royal inscriptions, believing that Sumer referred to the non-Semitic inhabitants of Mesopotamia while Akkad referred to the Semitic people of Mesopotamia).

Chapter two dealt with political history. The Sumerians didn’t really produce what we would call histories; they were rather more archivist than historian, chroniclers more than interpreters of history. The first real record of Sumerian events was essentially to preserve for posterity what great building projects (particularly of temples) Sumerian rulers had accomplished. Not all historical source material is “curt and lifeless” though, as one source of information is the royal correspondence between rulers and officials, letters that can reveal motives, rivalries, and intrigue.

As far as history itself the reader learns that two of the truly ancient Sumerian rulers were deified (Dumuzi, a deity whose worship would have profound influences in Judaism and in Greek mythology, and Gilgamesh, the “supreme hero of Sumerian myth and legend,” his deeds written and rewritten not only in Sumerian but also in other languages), and that Sargon the Great was the conqueror that finally brought about the end of the Sumerian people as “an identifiable political and ethnic entity” and began the “Semitization of Sumer.”

Chapter three looked at life in the Sumerian city. In the third millennium B.C. Sumer consisted of a dozen or so city-states surrounded by a few villages, each city’s main feature being the main temple situated on a high terrace, one that gradually evolved into a staged tower or ziggurat, “Sumer’s most characteristic contribution to religious architecture.” The temple was the largest and most important building in a Sumerian city, reflecting the importance of religion in Sumerian life (though scholars have debated for decades whether Sumer was a “totalitarian theocracy dominated by the temple” or whether there was some relative freedom and private property; opinion now leans towards the notion that while the temple was the major economic player, private individuals could buy and sell property and own businesses).

An important chapter, Kramer looked at such things as the average Sumerian house (a small, single story, mud-brick building with several rooms arranged around an open courtyard), the Sumerian calendar (they divided the year into two seasons, emesh, “summer”, and enten, “winter,” with the new year falling between April-May), even Sumerian medicine (providing translations of several ancient prescriptions).

Chapter four looked at religion and mythology. The Sumerians recognized a very large number of gods, some of which had some very specific areas of interest (such as a deity in charge of the pickax) but recognized seven gods who “decree the fates” and fifty deities known as “the great gods.” Sumerian gods were entirely anthropomorphic, appearing human in form and could eat, drink, marry, raise families, and even die.

Sumerians believed that rite and ritual were more important than either personal devotion or piety, and that man was “created for no other purpose than to serve the gods.” They also believed in something called me, essentially a set of rules and regulations that were meant to be followed in order to keep the universe running smoothly. These me’s included both positive concepts, like “truth” and but also negative ones like “strife.”

The parallels between Sumerian and Greek and Biblical stories were quite striking and Kramer discussed several examples (the Sumerian underworld looked a lot like the later Greek version, complete with a “Charon,” for instance and the Sumerians had a Flood myth as well).

Chapter five examined their literature, which included religious hymns and lamentations, epics, dirges, elegies, collections of proverbs, and a favorite Sumerian form of literature, the “wisdom” compositions or disputations in which two opposing protagonists debate back and forth (even if the two protagonists might be say personified animals or tools).

Chapter six looked at the Sumerian edubba or school.

Chapter seven examined Sumerian “drives, motives, and values.” The author looked at the role of hatred and aggression in the Sumerian character, their drive for prestige, preeminence, and superiority, though they also valued goodness, truth, even mercy and compassion. Kramer noted though that their ambitious drive for preeminence produced many of the advances for which the Sumerians are noted, such as the development of writing and irrigation but also carried with it the “seeds of self-destruction,” which trigged bloody wars between the Sumerian city-states and impeded unification which ultimately proved the downfall of Sumer.

Chapter eight examined the legacy of Sumer, its tremendous influences on other ancient cultures and religions, its numerous technological inventions, even its political advances (they invented the city-state which was in marked contrast to the state of affairs in Ancient Egypt).

One of the big questions is related to all the prehistoric fossils found in other regions that may be early examples of AMH, such as the 300,000-year-old Homo sapiens remains that were discovered in Morocco in 2017. KEN:     I thoroughly enjoyed the Minister’s book.  Well researched.  However, From the beginning I was quite confused.  In the all-important chapter in Genesis, Fortson talks about the sons of God and then bases the rest of his book on this definition of ELOHIM.  Some have said the ELOHIM is PLURAL??  In other words, it might be read “the sons of the gods”, or “deities.”  And then this: And Elohim said: Let US make Man in OUR image, after OUR likeness.”  Sure sounds like PLURAL to me.
 
Perhaps Zecharia Sitchin in his seminal The 12th Planet, and subsequent13 books, could add some corrections to Fortson’s interpertations.  I’d rcommend Chp 12, The Creation of Man,pp. 336-361

About 20 years ago I really studied in-depth the two works of Drunvalo and was fascinated with his teachings.  Sacred geometry was a real eye opener. I got distracted with many other teachings, especially Zecharia Sitchin and the Sumerians, as well of My Big T.O.E. (A Theory of Everything by Thomas Campbell,  physicist, (A Trilogy Unifying Philosophy, Physics, and Metaphysics). Very interesting  yet quite different types of research.

Thinking about all this, it’s obvious that these focus on the Western logical-rational way of thinking. Little on the Eastern literature.

Then DRUNVALO comes back with Living in the Heart (How to Enter into the Sacred Space within the Heart, 2003; and, Journey’s into the Heart, 2017.

  Thus from the HEAD (intellectual) to the HEART (intuition). Seems like a change in direction is needed now.

2/25/19  ANTARCTIC ICE SHELF???????

Zecharia Sitchin in The 12th Planet stated that it was the ANTARCTIC ICE SHELF collapse that caused the tsunami (DELUGE) that swept around the world burying cities and civilizations under tons of mud and water. Enlil and the “Anunnaki gods” knew this would happen and prepared by lifting themselves above it all in their spacecraft, while ENKI convinced NOAH to build a submersible “boat” to withstand the water devastation.

SO . . .NEWS:

An iceberg twice the size of New York City is about to break off of Antarctica’s Brunt Ice Shelf, according to NASA.

“Cracking across Antarctica’s Brunt Ice Shelf is set to release an iceberg w/ an area about 2x the size of NYC. The splitting could result in an uncertain future for the shelf’s scientific research & human presence,” NASA said in a tweet.

NASA said in a statement that there are cracks growing across the ice shelf that were first observed in October 2016. It’s not clear how the ice shelf will fare following the iceberg break, according to NASA.

Joe MacGregor, a glaciologist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, said in the statement that the “near-term future” of the ice shelf “likely depends on where the existing rifts merge relative to the McDonald Ice Rumples,” another area on the ice shelf.

“If they merge upstream (south) of the McDonald Ice Rumples, then it’s possible that the ice shelf will be destabilize,” MacGregor added.
